Hi,
Using a combo Gantt / Resource view, I am going through the project's tasks
to "optimise" the project. In my schedule I am have set levelling to manual.
When I try level on a selected resource, I get the response that "Microsoft
Project cannot resolve the overallocation of (Resource) on (Date). I have
set no contraints on the tasks - all default to start as soon as possible. I
have however got the resource starting (set using available from) a date post
the task that is causing the conflict. I would have thought MS Project would
have pushed the task to commence only after the date the resource is
available? I am not keen on manually pushing the task date as that imposes a
task constraint. Any suggestions?
thanks,
Mark
