MS Project Freezes when Saving Project on the server

We have created a Portoflio project in which we insert 5 projects ( Insert
Project > Unchecking the link) this way we can see the project in a portfolio
and we publish this to be viewable in PWA 2007.

But since yesterday when I insert a new project into the portfolio project
and unlink it and then when I try to save it. Project shows me the HOUR GLASS
and does nothing and gets stuck.

If I don't unlink the new project it saves properly.

Any suggestions ?

Hi wasonamit,

Is that happening on this particular project? Is this happening for
this particular user (you/another PM)?

If so, why don't you check in the project, if that's checked out. And
then clear the cache on the local Project Professional and if needed
to reset the user profile and try accessing once again. If this
continues then, please look at job queue and ULS logs if you get any
specific error message.

It happens when we saves a particular project.

It actually never goes to the queue. MS Project itself gets stuck.

The project we are trying to save is a master project in which we insert
these other projects and then UNCHECK the Link to file option.
