MS Project Gant Chart Dates

I'm using an old project as a template for a new one and have all the
dates changed down the left side of the activity schedule but can't
seem to get the dates to change across the top of the gant chart as it
shows out to the right of the schedule. Any ideas on how I might do
that? TIA

It isn't real clear what you are talking about but I'm guessing you have
changed the Start and Finish fields (columns) as needed but want to show
a different timescale at the top. To change the timescale, go to
Format/Timescale.
