MS Project has stopped working

I have MS Project 2007 running on VISTA SP1. The past few days I have been
unable to open an exisiting MS project file. File created in 2007 and saved
as a Project 2000-2003 file I get the following message:

"MS Project has stopped working" followed by "Windows cannot find
(filepath) make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again".

Anyone else having or had this issue? If so were yo able to find a fix I saw
that this was an issue before with those using XP and tried the recommended
fix to no avail. (there was an issue with MS Project 2007 and Norton). If I
send the file to others using MS Project 2003 they can open it without any
problem.
