MS Project Issue

I use MS Project 2003 for general scheduling of our test equipment. I have
summary tasks for each piece of equipment and then under these tasks are the
tests we have scheduled. At the end of the week we print off what was done
the last week and then delete them. I have had many issues with this
program. What happens is it tells me there is a circular reference (even
when there are no references) and now I get an error on opening that says the
following:

The paste operation cannot be completed because the total number of rows
would exceed the limit of 1,048,000.

And when I click ok the file is now blank.

Fact is I am not inserting any rows and the file only has a maximum of 25-50
rows used.

Any suggestions or similar problems?
