MS Project , MAPI, and Lotus Notes

Any help appreciated,

Received message, "MS Project Central Spooler has encountered a
problem and needs to close" when trying to use Project's
collaboration tool for requesting information using email (Lotus
Notes). With R6 client the general File Send To Mail functionality in
MS Word works as advertised. It opens Notes locally, creates a new
message and adds the file as an attachment.

MS Project: Professional 2002
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional , Service Pack 2
