Hello,

We are using MS Project Pro 2003 with Project Server 2003 (SP3) using a
dedicated SQL 2005 server.

We have about 500 projects currently on our system.

There is one project (at least only one that has been determined) that every
time we open it, the "Using Resource" dialog box opens first. We don't have
any filters preset, no special gantt charts or entry tables.

Again, it is only this one project that is doing this.

We can cancel or not pick a resource and continue, but its just a hassle for
our one PM.

Any thoughts or anyone run into this issue before?

thanks,
Aaron Miller, PMP

Has the PM in question created a custom View that includes the Using
Resource filter, either accidentally or on purpose? Ask him/her to open the
project in question, cancel the Using Resource dialog, and then click View -
More Views. Then have him/her click the Edit button to edit the currently
View in the project. Does he/she see the Using Resource filter in the
Filter pick list? If so, he/she should select the All Tasks filter and then
click OK and finally click Apply. After doing this he/she should save the
project. Let us know if this helps.

Dale,

that's the problem. I just confirmed again, but the Gantt Chart that is
being used is not a customized view, but rather our general, Enterprise
Gantt. There is no filter set on that Gantt. It is showing All Tasks on the
FILTER option.
