MS Project Server 2002 - Cannot Create Subwebs

C

Cory Levine

When I publish new projects, the subwebs are not created
automatically.

I have checked the MS Knowledgebase and followed the
instructions regarding ensuring my server connection is
using the server name (not the IP). I also ran the Check
Server Health function on the SharePoint web page - no
errors or issues were encountered.

When I try to create the subwebs manually through
the "Manage Subwebs" section on the Project Admin web
page, an error is generated "Error occured when creating
subweb. Subweb does not seem to exist.". I checked in
the WWWROOT folder of the web server and there are folders
there for the subwebs, but the "Manage Subwebs" section on
the Admin web page does not show the existence of the
subweb.

Any ideas?

Gary:

I applied SP1, but the error is still occuring. Also,
when I try saving a new project, the following error is
triggered, "System Error (0x80004005)." I tried looking
up the error, but have not found anything. Please
advise. Thanks> Cory

What you're posting now seems to indicate you're using a new system that's
incorrectly configured. To take this any further, you need to describe your
system configuration in detail.
