MS Project startup behaviour

I'm using Project / Server 2007. Is it possible to have MS Project
Professional start up without opening a default "Project 1" I'd rather just
have no file open than have to close Project 1 each time I edit a plan.

You don't have to close it. When you open your first 'actual' plan,
that plan will replace the 'Project 1' that Project created when it started.

Hello Rod -
You may also set Project to open the last file used when it starts.
Tools/Options... Select "Open lst file on startup" from the General tab.

Although this feature is convenient, an error messaage is generated if the
last file used was on a memory stick that is now not present.
