I am running MS Project 2003 Std. and want to automatically post each
task to MS outlook for the assigned resource.

How can I do this?

Hello Tom,

I'm afraid that is not possible out of the box. Microsoft has made
available a workgroup messaging download that has some capability for
email integration. However, there is no support for this solution and
there have been some recent posts about some difficulties with the
message handler. See below for a link to the knowledge base article
including a link to the download.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Thanks Julie, what version of MS Project could I purchase that would
integrate seamlessly with MS Outlook tasks?

You're welcome Tom and thanks for the feedback. To your question of
integrating Project "seamlessly" with Outlook. I believe through
Project Server you can work with Outlook. I am not a server "guru" by
any stretch so how "seamless" it is is unknown to me.

However, I suggest that you may find a 3rd party product that will
bridge the gap without having to purchase project server and project
professional. Take a look at the companion products link at
http://project.mvps.org . You may very well find a suitable answer
there.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
