Alright, I upgraded to Microsoft Publisher 2003. I want to make a catalog and
put images in there, and print them out from my inkjet printer. Yes, the
Publisher 2003 has the 300 DPI setting, which I need for quality prints.
However, the original JPEG images are at least 200 KB. When I put them in
Publisher 2003, they become a mere 40 KB.
So, the image quality DEFINITELY suffers.
In Adobe InDesign, the images keep their original properties. They are not
downgraded. Is there a way for MS Publisher 2003 to make the image I insert
keep its original properties (file size, quality, etc)?
Why does MS Publisher 2003 downgrade the image, even when it was not told to
do so?
