MS Query Data Sources

Hi,
Has anyone merged data into Word from two separate data
sources from two separate servers? In SQL you can create
a link between two servers. Can Word access this link via
an ODBC connection? If anyone is familiar with another
product "Crystal Reports", it has the capabilty to link
between two servers. I was hoping Word could merge data
in from two servers. Thanks

I've done it two ways;

1. If you have the ability to link your server in SQL
server then you can create a view(s) that displays the
table(s) required by your word document; This is can be
done using dbname.dbo.tablename and so on. One ODBC
connection will do the rest in your word document.

2. Using MS Access link the tables from different servers,
if needed you can create queries etc.. one ODBC does the
trick.
