To All,
I went to the MS site for patches, upgrades, and also some
templates for calendars and especially for a tool to print
preview pagebreaks - which for some reasons is not
included in XP Office for students.
PROBLEM:
Now I keep getting errors when I open Excel. There's a box
that says " File not found" 6 times. Then I get
some "hpfr5550.log" error file, which suggests an error
writing to my HP 5550 inkjet printer. Then there's a
SerialSync.txt file which continues to recreate itself
whenever I open Excel. (I can use Excel after clicking
past these things - but they are annoying!)
SerialSync.txt:
----------------
Version: 1.00
Packet_Threshold: 10
Retry_Error_Threshold: 5
Baud_Threshold: 38400
Send_Error_Threshold: 6
Recv_Error_Threshold: 45
-------------------------
If I should have had my XP office CD, it didn't ask. I
uninstalled and then re-installed XP Office, but same
problem.
ALSO: can someone tell me how to save differently or turn
off the XML feature of the file-save? These files are
enormous compared to Office 97 and 2000.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
