MS VBA error prevents saving files

I had to change hard drives, reload Windows XP Home and
Word 2002 (as part of Works Suite 2002). Now, on opening
Word, a dialog box entiltled "Microsoft Visual Basic"
appears with the staement "Compile error in hidden
module: main". If I click ok, I can get to old and new
documents, but I can't save any changes to them. I've
uninstalled and reinstalled Word, applied all updates
available, but can't get rid of the problem. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
