MS Word '07 freezes in new laptop?

When I "page up" in "draft view" of MS WORD docs the whole doc freezes just
all the time, then it will recover after five or six seconds. This happened
right out of the box with my new laptop. This is killing me because I'm
forever jumping around in my docs, and like the draft view much better. I'm
at the point of delieting Office 07 and reinstalling 2000.

Also, I see in Word 07 you can't set "draft view" as default as you could on
Word 2000. Maybe MS knew this was a problem...

I use WIN VISTA and a Toshiba Satellite laptop with 4gb's of RAM.

Hi Joe,
Have you tried using Word with your PC in safe mode? see if you
experience the same effect.

I just tried using Word in safe mode and it does not freeze up. What does
that tell you.
