MS Word 2000 - Document template

G

Geoffrey Turner

We have a document template in Word 2000 that is about to be used by a
considerable number of people and for legal reasons the words need to be
correct. We have found that in the free format areas if you type words like
coundnt where you would expect it to change the word to couldn't using
autocheck it truncates the word to coul.

If you bring up the template in Word 2007 its ok. We have tried bringing the
document up in 2007 and then filing it as a 97-2003 word template but when
Word 2000 opens the document its still gives the truncated words.

We will be deploying Office 2007 to the whole business (13000 people) in the
next few months, but cannot at the moment, so we need to fix this. Any ideas
welcome.
