MS Word 2000 saving on exit

Hi

I have a PC on a network which is running Office 2000 on WinXP.

When I go to exit Word it asks me if I want to save the document. This
happens eventhough I have already just saved it. On further investigation I
find that I can save it multiple times without making changes. Normally if I
don't make changes when I push the save button, nothing happens.
