MS Word 2000

I'm trying to rotate a picture that was given to me in a word doc. It's
a pointer, and therefore the background needs to be transparent. I
tried to make it a jpg in paint, but I was unable to make the
background transparent.

I read these instructions from a previous post:

"1. Select the picture, then choose Edit>Edit Picture.
2. Use the Selection tool in the Drawing toolbar to drag over the
picture and select all the object.
3. On the Drawing toolbar, click the Draw button and choose Group.
4. Click on the Rotate button and drag one of the green circles.
5. On the Edit Picture toolbar, click the Reset Picture Boundary
button,
then click Close"

If the Rotate button is the Free Rotate icon, it's greyed out, as are
the selections on the Rotate and Flip menu.

Can someone please help me?

Thanks.

Hi,

If you right click on the image and select Picture Toolbar, you should
see icons for rotating and also changing the transparency.

Cheers
Mike
