Hello Everyone,

I have Microsoft Office 2002 installed on my P4-2.4GHz,1G machine running
Windows 2000. When I double-click a word document MS-Word tries to open the
document, as soon as the document is opened MS-Word closes leaving behind
~<filename>.doc file in the same directory as the original file. If I open
MS-Word first and try to open the same document - same result. But If I open
MS-Word and create a new document I am able to open it properly.

I uninstalled MS-Word, cleaned the registry, re-installed Word but the
problem still remains. Has anyone of you ever come across any such problems
? What could be possible solution/workaround ?
