MS WORD 2002 SP3 Visual C++ Runtime Error Winword UGH!

Hi there! I had a networked external hard drive crash and take down
my router at the same time. As I was re-building everything and
finding a new home for 500G of files, I developed an issue with my
Outlook. I do not believe they are related but who knows.

When I try to open WORD I receive an
error:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Program Files
\microsoft office\office10\winword.exe

Same deal creating or replying to an email in Outlook.

Went to an Outlook forum and they suggested I come here. I already
went through the Support Macros template deleting registries, add ins,
etc.

Help!

Hi Sirscottyog,
Went to an Outlook forum and they suggested I come here.
Actually, the word.application.errors newsgroup would probably be
the best place to get really good support on this. However...
When I try to open WORD I receive an
error:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Program Files
\microsoft office\office10\winword.exe
This usually indicates a third-party software (probably a COM add-
in) is unable to execute correctly. If you disable all such add-ins
in Word, then enable them one-by-one, you should be able to isolate
the one causing the problem.

You mention you've done that, but did you also get the add-in
entries under the HKLM part of the Registry? You should also try
repairing the Office installation.

I take you mean you can't load WORD unless you do so in Safe Mode.

I'm not familiar with the "Support Macros template" you referred to
in your original message. Do you have a link to that so that I can
see exactly what it is you did (may have done) in the Registry?

This is Word 2000, I take it?
