MS Word 2003 file dissappear after typing few words. ???

New MS Word 2003 file dissappear after typing few words. It also happen to
newly opened and "edited" older files. Documents stay open for several
seconds (even with some words typed in it) and then it crashes (even without
touching keyboard) and dissapears without any warning or subsequent error
message.
