MS Word 2003 Pro printing problems

Problem printing documents, and envelopes: Envelopes: after selecting
print, a single envelope is bypassed (no printing) through the printer,
then a second envelope is started through printer but stops inside
printer; a pop-up notification announces "paper mis-match" and all
printing is ceased. I use standard #10 envelopes, tried several
brands....no help.
The other problem is that when I try to print multiple copies of a
document, whatever the number slected (ex 5 copies), the printer shoots
5 blank pieces of paper before printing the 5 copies. Using MS OS 2000
Pro w/ Student-Teacher OFFICE 2003 Pro

Sound like the printer driver and setup are not liking what is
configured. I would suggest reinstalling the printer with the latest
available drivers from the printer manufacturer. And then carefully go
through the printer setup and configuration.

Using a 3-day new HP, completely updated....newest drivers; I have also
completely removed all old software versions of unused print, utility,
etc, and defragged h.disk.
