Does anybody know if there are any page size restrictions when using the
above, as when I create a new document (postcard size) 12 cm x 7.5cm
(landscape) nothing will print, I.e. the page goes through the printer
but nothing is printed. If I increase the page size to 13 cm x 8.5 cm
all is well?

It an Epson 880 Color printer, set to maximum page area.

PS If I create the above 12cm x 7.5cm in portrait all is well?

It is the printer driver that restricts the sizes available (excepting for
Word's maximum 22" page size limit). SO the problem may be the way you are
feeding the paper. IIRC, with Epson printers you must insert the paper in
Portrait orientation, even if it is a landscape page. Make sure the
orientation is correctly applied.

the other possibility is that the printer driver just doesn't recognise a
'non-standard' page size. When this happens, you need to select the next
largest standard size and then adjust you page margins in Word to
accommodate the discrepancy.
