MS word 2003 will not open docs by directly clicking on the docume

Hi all,
I having a problem with Office 2003 Sp3 not opening word documents by
directly clicking on the document itself. The will however open by first
opening MS word the browsing to the file. I have reinstlled office and ran
the OFFCLN utility , but still the problem persists. Does anyone know of a
registry fix for this?
