MS Word 2007 no longer will open existing documents

I have been using MS Office Home and Student for about 6 months now (I bought
the software from Best Buy). It was working fine for a couple of months then
it began crashing when I closed the program. I was tod it had to do with my
printer driver so I uninstalled all printers and the problem persists. I
tried unistalling and re-installing MS Office Home and Student. I can no
longer view any existing documents I created and when I open a new file I can
type information but I can not edit is or do anything else with it. This has
happened for my PC and laptop, both are VISTA

You've posted this to a Word for Macintosh newsgroup (hence the ".mac."
in the newsgroup name.

You'd probably have more luck in one of these groups:

microsoft.public.word.application.errors

microsoft.public.word.setup.networking
