When I try to write on a new blank document and I get to the end of a line,
when I click on Enter, the cursor skips down the page about 12 or more lines.
Also, the cursor lines up way inside the blank page. I have tried adjusting
settings in Paragraph to no avail. I have tried repair on Office Enterprise
2007 but that does not fix it. Any ideas?

In a new blank document, without making any other changes, open the Page
Setup dialog by selecting the Page Layout tab and clicking on the dialog
launcher arrow in the bottom right corner of the Page Setup group. On the
Layout tab of the dialog, change the vertical alignment from Justified to
Top. Then click Default... (lower left corner) and answer Yes to the dialog
that ensues.
