MS Word 2007

Some websites won't except the MSWord 2007 extension when uploading a word
document such as a resume. It says it does not recoginze a character, but
will now allow you to select .doc as a valid extension only MS 2003 but the
extension comes .docx. Any help you can provide would be appreciated!
