MS Word '97 keeps disapearing

Every time I re-install my MS Office 97 the Word can be
loaded only once, as soon as I try to type something it
crashes and is nowhere to be found. I did re-install it
several times but it keeps crashing and I can't open any
of my documents created by the Word.
Can anybody please help me

A missing Winword.exe is a symptom of the Klez virus. This article
from the Symantec site contains a removal tool and provides
information on how to determine if you are infected since it disables
your virus scanner:
