MS Word and Excel won't open

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I hope someone else is having the same issue I am... and knows how to fix it!

I just upgraded to MS Office 2008 on OS 10.5.6 (Leopard). Entourage and PowerPoint work just fine... however, when I try to open Word or Excel, the app won't even open... at all. I have to force quit, and it says the program isn't responding.

I've uninstalled MS Office and reinstalled it and the same thing is happening.

Does anyone know what's going on here?! Thanks!

I am having the same exact problems, I have re-loaded and cant open any word
document. Did you figure out how to fix it?
