MS Word and OS X 10.5.5

Hello there, I've been unable to launch MS Word application, while the other elements of MS Office eg. Excel and Entourage are fine. This happened after I did a software update to OS X 10.5.5. Before, it was working fine with 10.5.0. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the entire package. And the same problem persists. Does anyone have any leads on this?

I am having a similar problem. Installed 10.5.5, and now excel quits on start up. It sends an error report, but continues the same problem. Word, and powerpoint work fine. I am using the latest version of office 12.1.2.
