MS Word changes my formating

V

Vera

when typing in MS Word-my words are randomly highlighted in black then
deleted. To undo this, I go to Edit & click on "undo". Also, My page is
either zoomed in or enlarged by itself as well...I'm constantly having to
resize. At times the words are capitlized even tho the cap lock key is not
on. The list goes on & on of random actions caused by what I believe to be
from the Vista Program. I did not have these problem using MS Office XP Pro...
How can these random actions be stopped?

Withy such scanty information, it is almost impossible to say what is wrong.
I can assure you that Vista and Word do not behave that way on a normal
computer. In order for us to provide help, please let us know the
following...

Version of Office or Word?
Is Office fully patched up to date?
Is Vista fully patched up to date?
Is your printer driver up to date?
Is you graphics driver up to date?
What Anti Virus are you using?

If everything above is correct, please give us some idea of what you are
doing at the time when something goes wrong as well as a better explanation
of what goes wrong.

Gene,
I'm having similar problems with Word 2007 with the Vista operating system.
I get text from different documents inserted into the document I'm working
on. Sometimes the program won't do simple things like backspace to move line
up.
There are other examples of this random behavior in Word. All of this
started just a month or so ago.

Have you turned on the display of non-printing characters (the Pilcrow on
the home ribbon ¶. The likelihood is that there is more than just a blank
line stopping you from 'backspacing' to move up a line.

Also, check your Copy/Paste options in Word Options | Advanced | Cut, Copy &
Paste section?
