MS Word closes unexpectedly

Hello all,

Any assistance with this situation would be helpful. I
have a user who encountered the well known
error "Winword.exe has encountered errors and will close"
while working on a document. The application closed itself
as a result. Now, when he tries to open the Word Doc he
was working on, it opens, and then closes almost as soon
as it's done loading up. Any ideas?
