I have Word 2007 installed on my Windows Vista Desktop computer, and Word
2008 for Mac installed on my Mac Book laptop.
If I open and make changes to a .docx file on the windows version, and then
save it and open it later on the Mac version, everything works fine.
However, if I make changes to the document in the Mac version of Word, and
then save it and later open it on the Windows version, some of the words seem
to combine.
The words "gesturing to" on the Mac version might become "gesturingto" when
I open it in the Windows version, or "the rest" to "therest".
In an 8500 word document it can happen to 20-30 words, but it is guaranteed
to happen everytime. I've tried it with two seperate .docx files and it's
happened to both. It does not happen to the same words everytime, and I
haven't been able to find any sort of pattern.
