MS Word Envelop addressing problem

A

Art McClinton

I often use MS Word to address envelopes. I have noticed that it has an
address book feature but I have never gotten it to work. The issue is on my
home machine where I have MS Word installed. I also happen to have
installed MS Outlook to allow me to read my office email. I have set up
outlook to not use cached mode. That is all mail is read from the outlook
exchange folder. For some reason Word insists upon using the Outlook
address book for the storage and retrieval of addresses that are used in
envelope generation. I also have Outlook Express and Pegasus mail for
personal accounts (both of which have address books) and windows itself has
an address book. How can I convince it to use something other than Outlook
for its address book. When I try it tells me that outlook is not able at
the present time to add an new profile. All I would like to do however is
disassociate Word from Outlook.

Thanks
