MS Word error when starting and closing it

Hi, the error happens when I'm trying to open my report saved the night
before. It just simply could not be opened when I double clicked the file
name. I need to start MS Word program first and then open it using "open"
command. Then, the content can not be editted either, since the cursor could
not be located when I trying to move it using mouse, however, it still can be
moved and editted using "up&down" arrow key. Problem also exists when I
trying to close it. The error message shows: "Microsoft Word has stopped
working, Windows is checking for solutions" and then it would be restarted
and the same problems happen again and again. I tried to check for solutions.
But the vista system says "no new solutions found". Now I have to come to
this website and hope someone would help me with this problem. Thank you very
much.

This suggests that you have a trial version of Word 2007 installed and the
trial period expired at midnight or you have a full version that you have
failed to activate on line and the 50 uses have been exceeded.

Alternatively, you have damaged the Word DataKey which can be sorted by
deleting the key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\version number\Word\Data

I think you can try a utility called Advanced Word Repair to repair
your Word document. It works rather well for my corrupt Word
