MS - Word Errors

We have windows 2003 server & all workstations have windows xp sp2. we have
ms office 2003 professional on all workstations.



we r facing 2 problems on 2 separate machines.



1. when we open 2 or more word documents all the documents group together n
form a single window in the taskbar when minimised, this is fine, but when we
open the minised window (containing 2 or more word documents) the ms-word
application closes without saving. now when we open ms-word we get retrieved
copies of the word documents.



we have repaired the office application but this problem keeps recurring.



2. we recently did disk error checking, disk fragmenting on a workstation.
ever since if we open a word document & give a print job or maybe add a table
or insert a line, the application takes more than 5 seconds to execute this.
its like the pc is thinking. any advices to sort this out.

1. This is the handwriting recognition bug. Use Office Setup and remove the
handwriting recognition from under Alternative Inputs. Restart Word and test
again. It should now be OK and safe the add the handwriting recognition
again (if you need it).

2. Possibly the Antivirus is checking too much or simply Word needs
