MS Word hanging up at start-up with XP

Just recently I started experiencing hang-ups trying to open MS Word. I have
the MS Office Student & Teacher 2003 edition. I tried to repair the files
and it will not work stating I have problems with my msiexec.exe. I searched
the internet about the file and it appeared that it could be a registry
problem. I purchased a regsitry cleaner and it did not fix the problem. I
also downloaded the Sevice Pack 3 for the Office Suite.
