I have many MS Word documents with the same structure - A title page, a TOC,
the main document body and an Index. I have always used the following
header/footer setup: No h/f on the title page, footer only in the TOC, both
h/f in the main body and the index with different odd/even for both header
and footer. I have used this scheme for years without difficulty. Now I am
unable to get the h/f to work correctly. I have odd page section breaks after
each of the above, but when I open header & footers, the section designators
do not appear. Any change I make in section 2 is always shown in section 1
also.
I did an Office Update last week. Could this be the problem?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
