MS Word Macro that changes (foot) header if there is one.

Dear all,

I need a Macro for MS Word 2003, that changes the foot header if there
is one in that document.

The case is following;

I have two kinds of documents, one are letters, which will be print on
paper where a foot header is already pre-printed on the paper. The
other one are faxes/memos which we print on blank paper and where we
include our own foot header.

The problem is that something is changed in the original foot header,
so I wanted to make a macro which will make that change in my foot
header automatically. However, I only want that the macro changes a
foot header if there is one (so only ad the faxes/memos) and not
include a foot header in the letters (if I start the macro at that kind
of documents).

Some of the wise guys over here will probably think already, 'well,
only start the macro than on your faxes and memos!'.

That would be the solution if I didn't want to include some other items
in the macro which have to change in both kind of documents.

The other solution will be that I make two separate macro's which I
will use only one macro in the letters and both macro's at the faxes
and memos.

However, I prefer one Macro which has a kind of command like 'IF FOOT
HEADER IS FILLED IN THAN CHANGE ...' Or something like that (as you can
see I'm not very good with it! :-D)

Hopefully someone can help me with this case or can make a Macro for
me...! ;-)

Many thanks in advanced,

Stan

G'day (e-mail address removed),

So, the simplest solution is to give you a macro that deletes all
headers and footers for you to use at will? Note, a simple copy n
paste of content to a new document made from a suitably designed
template would also achieve this.
