I'm trying to format the page numbers so that they only
begin counting from 1 at a certain page, and any pages
before that do not display a page number. Can anybody help
me?

Go to Insert Select:page numbers, click format. Be on the
page you want to change the page number for.

Add a section break before the page where you want to
start your numbering. Then in the footer, unclick the
Same as Previous. You can then move to the previous
footer and delete your page number and in the section
where you want your page number, format it to start at 1.

Try starting a new section on each page that you don't want numbers on. On
those pages, uncheck the item that says to number the first page. Now start
a new section and go back to formatting and check the box that says to
number the pages and go to format. Adjust your page numbers the way you
want. I hope this helps. Good luck.
