MS Word product key problem

Hi,
I am trying to install word 2000 on my new laptop that has Vista as the OS.
Its is asking for a 25 digit product key, whereas the ID on the cert of
authenticity is 20 digits. Can anyone help please?

There should be an orange sticker with the 25 character key somewhere on the
CD case's back the CD came in, or on the documentation. The 20 character
product ID number on the COA is not the license key.
