ms word will not load on my XP P111 system

I have a P 111 and win XP pro set up, i am trying to install a word 97
program, the actual MS word Pgm, and i keep getting the Non fat 32 system
error and close or Ignor option, any ideas, i am really lost

Non fat is a kind of milk that you can buy at a store, not an
error message that Office or Word or Windows gives. You really
are a lost cause.
