MS Word will not send the fill color-white-to the printer

I am using a Canon BC2100 inkjet printer, with the BC21e
color Cartridge.

I am printing WordArt on colored paper.
However, I cannot get white to print as a fill in any of
my WordArt.
Whatever color the paper is that's the color that comes up
where white should be.

Can you please help?

First time I've ever heard of white ink in an color printer for a PC. Check
your ink cartridge ones again. I've had a number of color ink printers, both
Canon and HP, and now also color laser printer, but never had white color in
any of them.

All inkjet printer drivers that I'm aware of assume that you're
printing on white paper, so "white" is really a synonym for "don't
print any ink here".

Unless you have a cartridge full of white ink in your printer, there's
no way for your printer to put white over colored paper. You *can* buy
white ink, as you'll find if you search Google for the term

If you do that, you'll also have to choose one of the primary ink
colors (magenta, cyan, or yellow) to replace with white, and change
the fill in your WordArt to the replaced color. That is, if you put a
cartridge full of white ink in your printer in place of the yellow
cartridge, then change any white items in your WordArt to yellow so
they'll print as white.
