MS Works and WinMain

Received an attachment in WPS format. Could not open it. Error message read
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this
action. Create an Association in the Set Association control panel"
I have Works 8.5 installed on my VISTA OS. Haven't the faintest idea what
the error meant and how to find Set Association control panel. Need Help.
