MSAccess 2007-adding records in Tables linked to a file on IBM iSe

I am attempting to add records within Access to a Table that is linked
directly to an IBM iSeries/AS/400 physical file. I receive an error message
ODBC-insert on a linked table "Ac--- Failed. IBM iSeries Access ODBC driver
[DB2 UDB]SQL7008- Ac--- not valid for operation (#7008)
I am not working on The SQL Server.
