MSAccess.exe has generated an error and will be closed by Windows

We have an MSAccess applicaiton built with Access2000. When one user tries
to launch this applicaiton with Acccess 2003 already running, they get an
error "MSAccess.exe has generated an error and will be closed by Windows".
Note: our application runs fine on their computers as long as they do not
launch MSAccess2003 first.

We have probably 1000+ users using this same application and do not have any
trouble running MSAccess2003 concurrently with our application. I am hoping
someone may understand why this one users is getting this error.

The main difference with this user is they have set-up some uique User
rights on their network and I have a very strong suspecion that this issue is
related; however, I do not understand this well enough to understand how this
could cause this issue.

Your comments and ideas are all greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Robert

Wipe that user's computer and do a complete reinstall of Windows, Office, and
what ever else that use needs. If you are lucky, that user is due a new
computer anyway.

Something is wrong with that user's computer. I've found in such situations
that just uninstalling/reinstalling Access or Office often doesn't fix the
problem.

I would be very surprised if it's a network rights issue as long as that
user has full permissions to the folders holding the database .mdb files.

Hi Jerry,

Thank you for your reply Jerry. I will ask the user do this and see if it
resolve the problem. I know they have uninstalled and reinstalled our
application many times; however, I do not think they have uninstalled and
Microsoft Products and reinstalled them.

Sincerely,

Robert
