Hey
We use MSBackup and have just found that it doesnt like backing up SQL
Server Databases, in the backup log there is an error 'Error returned while
creating the volume shadow copy:800423f4' I researched this on Microsoft.com.
the link is http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;828481
Apparently our Project Server SQL Server Database is not using the 'simple
recovery model' So the way I see it I have three choices:
- Try to get the hotfix for this specific error (I have to contact Microsoft
to get this hotfix, it cant be downloaded from the site)
- Look into Windows Server 03 SP1 (we are using Small Business Server 03 and
ive heard theres a few issues with SP1 and SBS)
- or finally change Project Server to use the 'Simple recovery model'
My preference is the last option but im wondering how this will effect our
Project Server setup? will this muck up our system? or is one of the other
options a better way to go?
Cheers
