I had to backup (msbackup in dos 6.x?)900+ word docs (not
sure of version)in windows 3.1, and restore them in
Windows 98 or Office XP. Not recognizing the
file/floppy. Help!!

Drag the files from the floppies to the hard drive on the new pc

MSbackup is NOT compatible across Windows versions. Restore using the
version the files were backed up with and then copy to the other system.
