MSBlast patch killed MS Office 2000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

W2000 Server and workstations, SP3 (no SP4-run ACAD). After patch Office
2000 cannot open docs over network (hangs PC)!!!!! Uninstalled, no luck! No
excess network traffic, or virus. How do I fix this!??
