.msg attachment gets embedded inside mail

Hi,
I am using Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 (11.6359.8036) SP1.
When I try to send a mail to a maillist (We use an Exchange Server for
processing mails), the .msg attachment gets embedded inside mail, instead of
appearing as attachment. The Message Format is HTML(Changing it to Plain Text
had the same problem). Is it due to the settings of the Exchange server? But
when I use Lotus notes or Outlook Web Access to send the mail to the
maillist, the .msg is correctly taken as attachment. Are there any settings I
should change in my Local Outlook to get this working correctly? Please help.
